Solarcentury recognised as the UK’s fastest-growing renewables company
On 26th April the Sunday Times published their 21st annual Sunday Times Profit Track Covid-19 edition ranking Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the past three years.
Solarcentury was pleased once again to be recognised as the UK’s fastest-growing, privately-held renewables company, a position we’re particularly grateful for given the difficult circumstances that companies are currently operating in on account of COVID-19.
In 2019 our profits grew by 860% to £14m, driven by new, subsidy-free solar projects in southern Europe, Latin America and Africa. We anticipate the 2020 results to be more positive still.
The Sunday Times list includes a diverse group of companies, from clothing retailers to engineering services to cosmetics manufacturers. This edition in particular highlights the important contribution of private companies to the British economy, like Solarcentury, who contribute through thought leadership, innovation, and employment.
