Solarcentury recognised as the UK’s leading privately-held solar developer

On the 27th September, the 16th annual Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250 league table was published. The table ranks Britain’s leading mid-market private companies with the biggest sales. The 250 companies achieved combined sales of £59.7bn, a 17% increase year-on-year, and profits of £5.1bn, up 25%.

Solarcentury was pleased to be recognised for its contribution to UK business as the only pure-play solar developer ranked in the league table. In 2020 Solarcentury revenue grew by 87% to £187m.

Tony Crawte, CFO said: “This recognition follows a strong year of trading performance, delivering record profits. And despite COVID, we are still very active with 640MWp of solar in construction, and continued momentum on new solar development projects across Europe and Latam.”
